Antique Danish 2 seat sofa with compact frame and original upholstery.
Lovely Danish hand built 2 seat sofa with gold colour and green upholstery. Made in Denmark mid 1940s.
Ideal size to be used at the end of a bed, in an alcove, a bay window or in a small reading corner.
This delightful compact settee offers great seating comfort in a frame with gentle curves and a seat that is built up using traditional methods.
The use of coil springs mean that the seat is always shaped with a gently curve to it as the springs push up. When you sit on a coil sprung seat the comfort and feel is also more supportive than foam / cushions.
The sofa is upholstered in the original gold colour upholstery on the seat and side while the arms, corners and outside are in a pale green velour/ draylon.
Standing firmly on the floor with dark stained wood legs which are integral to the sofas frame build.
The benefit of this traditional hand built frame is that you can re-upholster it as many times as you like without having to replace all the sofas internal padding or springs.
