Danish 1950s lounge table with end drawer and removable serving tray
Danish modern designed teak lounge table with underlying magazine shelf with woven cane and removable hostess serving tray.
This lovely teak table makes a real statement of great Danish design as it has several features that make it so much more than just a table.
The underlyning magazine shelf has been woven with split cane which is typical for the period. A shallow drawer sits under the top at one end while a removable teak tray is secreted at the other.
The table top edges are gently raised to give a more curvatious look and also prevent accidentally pushing your coffee over the edge.
The gently splayed legs follow this ethos of sense and make the table stand very firmly on the floor.
Condition. Stunning with age related patina and minor signs of use. Rich oiled finish which helps to nourish and protect the wood.
