Danish teak desk with bookcase front, Vintage mid-20th century
This striking large modernist desk offers much more than just a work surface.
The desk has seven drawers, one of which -above the knee hole- is lockable. The back of the desk features a bookcase-like storage area in which you could display books or ornaments. Needless to say the desk would look great in the middle of a room but -being rectangular- could also be put against a wall.
Other subtle details can be found on the drawers; each of the drawers has a lipped finger grip handle carved from solid teak which opening the drawers very easy. And the same piece of teak veneer runs across all three drawers each side.
Condition: Good, the desk is very strong. It features a great patina and shows little signs of age related wear although there are two water stains to the desk's top (photographed).
The tapering solid teak legs are screwed directly into the side of the desk and can be removed quickly and easily for safe transportation/shipping.
