Modernist rosewood Poul Cadovius CADO cabinet with sliding doors
Designed by Poul Cadovius - Produced by System CADO - Model CADO - Year of design 1965
Very elegant and practical rosewood cabinet with two sliding doors, mounted on 4 chrome legs.
This cabinet would work brilliantly as a bedside cabinet or television stand as the four new chrome legs mean the cabinet is both strong and stable -able to take the weight of a large television. Further, all the unsightly extra technology -depending on width- such as the Sky/Virgin box, DVD/Blu ray player etc
could be stored away within the cabinet, to control the 'extra technology' you would simply keep one of the sliding doors partially open.
Inside the cupboard are two adjustable shelves which could be taken out altogether if you wished to use this as a drinks cabinet.
We have many more CADO system components in stock in rosewood and teak. If you would like to compliment this floor standing cabinet with a wall mounted system get in touch to find out what we have in the showroom.
Condition: Beautiful, the rosewood has retained its rich, dark colour and has an even patina and oiled finish. There are multiple light scratches on both cabinets as these are early CADO cabinets -damage is consummate with age-, these are all now under oil and do not detract from the piece at all.
