Quality modernist teak and oak 1960s Danish sideboard
The doors left and right at the top of this fantastically practical Danish sideboard both slide into the middle section covering the three drawers.
Revealed behind the door on the right are three adjustable drawers, which could be removed altogether and used as paper trays on a desk if you wished. Behind the door on the left is a storage space.
The three doors at the bottom open outwards and the storage spaces within are divided by shelves which could be removed altogether.
The final practical element of cabinet is the tray which slides out beneath the drawers in the middles section -this could be the surface upon which you prepare your cocktails.
The top half of the cabinet is teak whereas the tapering legs and shaped brace of the lower section are solid oak. The combination of oak and teak, as well as the fact that the cabinet is on legs makes the piece extremely light-looking despite the good amount of storage it provides.
The elegant simplicity of the design and tight, subtle design features such as the solid teak recessed handles and solid teak waistband along the front of the unit make it ideal for use in any room.
Condition: great, showing only minor signs of age related use. It is clean, has a wonderfully rich patina and even oiled finish.
