A unique and stunningly detailed bureau with roll top and bookcase cupboard top, all made of solid pine with hand carved decorations.
This amazing bureau dates from 1906 and is signed by the maker undedr the pull-out writing desk.
It offers lots of storage and some very interesting secrets such as the hidden drawer locks.
The large drawer, all-be-it, fitted with key holes actually are blind as the lock to release the drawer is a geniously hidden mechanism.
A similar un-usual door mechanism holds the 2nd door of the cupboard closed after the other has been unlocked using the key.
The roll-top can be locked so the entire unit is securely locked without much effort.
The entire bureau and top cupboard is carved with lots of details such as a group of owls, flowers and other details which you can see in the images below.
Condition. Excellent with beautiful patina and oiled finish.

Each unit is secured with dowls into the other.
