A very rare dining chair in beech with leather and plywood seat designed by Hans Wegner 1952 model FH4101 produced by Fritz Hansen and stamped to seat with makers mark.
The chair is from the short period where Hans Wegner worked with Fritz Hansen using their laminated methods for making furniture but as Wegner preferred solid timbers to the plywood, it was short lived and there are only a handful of designs from this co-operation in the very early 1950s.
The chair has solid beech frame and tek plywood face back rest while the seat is upholstered in black leather.
The leather seat is a later addition as the chair was intended to have no upholstery. (previous owner change)
A beautiful vintage chair that collectors of Hans Wegner should have in their collection.
