Vintage set of 4 beech framed heart chairs with plywood teak seats.
A stunning chair set designed by Hans Wegner in 1952 as a departure from his normal favoured material, solid timber.
The seats on the chairs is laminated plywood, a material favoured by Fritz Hansen the producers of the chairs and something they were keen to get Wegner to use.
This turned out not the be the case and Wegner only designed the one series of dining chairs using this material before he went back to his favourite.
The chairs are very comfortable for a 3-legged chair and all have excellent back support from the gently curved back rest.
Condition. Very good with some signs of age and use.
A|l chairs are bearing the makers sticker or logo under the seat.
