Description

Stunning minimalist daybed designed by Poul Kjærholm in 1957 as his refined version of Bauhuaus's interpretation of the old Roman divans.

Constructed of satin polished steel frame with grey painated plywood bedbase which is secured to the steel frame with rubber bands.
The seat cushion is covered with dark brown colour leather upholstery.

The elegance of this daybed allows it to be used as a centre piece around which other design will compliment it.

Condition. Exceptional with beautiful patina and minor signs of use consistent with its age.
Dated 1983 and labelled with Fritz Hansen.
