RARE and EXCLUSIVE teak and vinyl armchair designed by Arne Hovmand Olsen and produced in very limited numbers by Mogens Kold mobeflabrik early in 1960s.
This stunning armchair features elegant midcentury design, with original black vinyl upholstery and teak frames in immaculate condition.
The backrest is gently curved and fixes to the armrest, providing an floating look. The hardware is all in brass which provides a neat contrast to the rich teak tone and clean black upholstery.
Both armchairs are very early production models, with the numbers '19' and '24' being marked inside the frame to denote production number, making these armchairs exceptionally early.
The frame is stamped 'Made in Denmark - Design Hovmand Olsen' which confirms the chairs authenticity.
These armchairs were produced by Mogens Kold and retailed by JUTEX, a 9 company Danish furniture co-operative consisting of amongst others, Mogens Kolds Mobelfabrik, Onsild mobelfabrik, Gern Mobelfabrik
Arne Hovmand Olsen quite accidentally became the lead architect of this cooperative , as when the original architect failed to show up for the first meeting, the solution was to leaf through the local phone book. Arne Hovmand Olsen was persuaded to attend the meeting and it was then agreed the he should be the main designer for the newly formed co-operative called JUTEX (jutlandia Exports) .

Delivery of furniture and large items are carried out in our own vehicle and all items will be securely blanketed and strapped down during transport

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
