Lightweight moulded ply armchair with leather sling seat designed 1947 by Peter Hvidt and Orla Molgaard, produced by Fritz Hansen - Model AX
This minimal design armchair boasts excellent comfort, classic midcentury styling and lightweight construction. The moulded beech ply frame is formed aroud a burr walnut core, providing the chair legs with a rigid and durable centre.
The armrests are gently curved to offer fantastic comfort whilst seated and excellent support. The AX chair is upholstered in its original brown leather upholstery, featuring a quilted design for extra durability and padding.
Designed in 1947, the AX chair was a daring new design, making use of laminating techniques and new synthetic resins, which provided the chair its lightweight and sturdy complextion.
The frame is in excellent condition after a light clean. The upholstery features one small tear as pictured.

You must inform us within two working days if the goods are lost or damaged in transit so that we can make a prompt claim against the delivery company and correct the problem. Please quote your order number in all correspondence.
